Faith For Healing
What
is faith: Is a strong belief in the
doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual conviction rather than proof.
What
is Healing: Is the
process of making or becoming sound or healthy again
In the design of mankind by God man was not design to
fall sick or have any disease. It was the sin nature of man that brings about Sicknesses
and Diseases.
We must understand that
Jesus Christ was manifested in other to destroy the work of the devil and it
takes divine power of God to destroy sickness and disease completely and also
faith in God to activate this power.
If we look at the scripture from the
book of Exodus 15:26
He said, "If you listen carefully to the
voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if
you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on
you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord , who heals you."
To receive our healing firstly we have to obey God’s
voice and do all that he commands us here on earth.
Ex 15:26 (NIV)
He said, "If you listen carefully to the
voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if
you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on
you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord , who heals you."
We have to pray for healing and
restoration when we sinned and depart from God in Number 21:7 (NIV) The people
came to Moses and said, "We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us." So
Moses prayed for the people.
Now Talking about faith for your
healing Hebrews 11:6 (NIV) And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards
those who earnestly seek him.
Faith is a very vital tool for us to receive
healing. If we do not receive our healing the problem is not always on God but
us as human fulfilling our part.
Matt 9:29-31 (NIV)
29 Then he touched their eyes and said,
"According to your faith will it be done to you"; 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned
them sternly, "See that no one knows about this." 31 But they went out and spread the news about
him all over that region.
Matt 13:15 (NIV)
For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they
might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and
turn, and I would heal them.'
Matt 8:5-13
5 When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion
came to him, asking for help.
6 "Lord," he said, "my servant
lies at home paralyzed and in terrible suffering."
7 Jesus said to him, "I will go and heal
him."
8 The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not
deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant
will be healed.
9 For I myself am a man under authority, with
soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,'
and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
10 When Jesus heard this, he was astonished
and said to those following him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found
anyone in Israel with such great faith.
11 I say to you that many will come from the
east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be
thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of
teeth."
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion,
"Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant
was healed at that very hour.
Matt 9:20-31 (NIV)
Just then a woman who had been subject to
bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.
21 She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be
healed."
22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Take
heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the
woman was healed from that moment.
23 When Jesus entered the ruler's house and
saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, 24 he said, "Go away. The girl
is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had
been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26
News of this spread through all that region.
27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men
followed him, calling out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"
28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men
came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do
this?"
"Yes, Lord," they replied.
29 Then he touched their eyes and said,
"According to your faith will it be done to you"; 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned
them sternly, "See that no one knows about this." 31 But they went out and spread the news
about him all over that region.
Matt. 13:15 (NIV)
For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise
they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their
heartsand turn, and I would heal them.

healed at that very hour.
These are some of the examples pointed out in
the bible about those who exercise faith in the bible and receive their
healing. So it takes a high level of faith in God for healing and deliverance
from sickness, diseases and poverty.
Once you are working in faith nothing becomes
impossible why because you begin to see things the way God see things and say
things the way God have said it. Mark 9.
Ways in
which we can secure our healing:
1.
Prayer:
A prayer less man is a power less man
2.
Faith:
We must have faith in the word of God and faith in the name of Jesus Hebrews
4:12-13 Philippians 2:9-11 Acts 3:15-16
My advice to people when you don’t have much
faith and your faith is low for your healing try medication.
